Walden Pond

This is a photo I took when I visited Walden Pond in Massachusetts over Christmas break. I really enjoy reading Walden: Or Life in the Woods and find spiritual inspiration from his work. Walden Pond is most beautiful in the fall when the trees around the Pond are vibrantly changing colors and leaves cascade down onto the water in reds, oranges, and yellows.

Well, this is real pretty and all that but where is the therapy in looking at a stick coming out of the water! I really think you need to eat a few cans of cat food, that is great therapy!

Maybe if you had a few sea cats swimming along in the pond then it might be more therapeutic...you will just have to convince me. Fat cats never apologize we just waddle along!

Sometimes when I am lying around the house, musing upon my next meal I wonder how art has affected my own purrsonality. It seems that the art I was shown when I was a very rolly polly kitten has not really affected my behavior, but as I get older the art I have seen in nature has made me more of who I am. I may appear haughty and selfish but one does have to take care of oneself...like all the fncy wood carvings that I have been working on the past 6 years. I really wish the lady who takes care of me would appreciate my own art therapy and not have me declawed!

I say that Art Therapy is a noble existence but I doubt if the lady who owns me appreciates how I decorate her house. Just the other day I was found under the chair in the kitchen. I was inspecting the dust mites and cobwebs and left a few tale-tell marks, you know how cats scratch. The therapy in all of that is to have FUN and to not get caught. Fat cats like to generate that mystique of never seeming to care, the truth is we do not care. I wonder if the art therapy Walden Pond girl ever reads her blog....she surely does not write on mine. Alas...meow mix anyone?
